ZeroDebt Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

AACHAARYAA CYBERNETICS PRIVATE LIMITED, also identified in the app as AACHAARYAA CYBERNETICS PVT LTD (we, us or AACHAARYAA), develops ZeroDebt. This policy covers the free Android app with package name com.aachaaryaa.zerodebt.mobile.

ZeroDebt helps you record debts and payments, estimate repayment plans, review progress and set payment reminders. It works without registration, a bank connection or a ZeroDebt account.

2. Information you enter and how it is used

The app processes information you enter, including debt and lender names, balances, loan amounts, interest rates, instalments, payment dates and history, fees, notes, and repayment-plan choices. If you use the affordability tools, it also processes the income, essential expenses and extra-payment amounts you enter. Screen-privacy and reminder preferences are stored with your app settings.

This information is used on your device to show your records, calculate estimates, track progress and schedule reminders. You decide what to enter. Avoid placing passwords, bank credentials or unnecessary identifying information in notes.

3. Local storage and data sharing

Debts, payments, budgets, plans and preferences are stored locally in the app's private storage on your Android device. ZeroDebt does not upload these records to AACHAARYAA, a lender, an analytics provider or an advertising service. We do not sell your financial records or share them for advertising.

The free app has no advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud-sync or payment-processing service. Its database, time-zone and notification libraries support local app functions. The Android release does not request Internet permission. Opening the published policy uses your browser separately from the app.

4. Permissions and notifications

Notifications: on Android versions that require permission, ZeroDebt requests notification permission when you enable payment reminders. You can decline or revoke it in Android Settings and continue using the other app features.

Restart and vibration: Android restart events allow the notification library to reschedule saved reminders after a device restart or app update. Vibration may be used for notification alerts, subject to your device settings. Your device's time zone is used to schedule reminders locally; this does not require GPS or location access.

Private notification text is enabled by default. If you turn it off, a debt name may appear in a notification, including on the lock screen depending on Android settings. You can adjust reminder preferences under More > Notifications.

ZeroDebt does not request access to your bank account, SMS, email inbox, contacts, call logs, location, camera or microphone. It does not read bank statements, credit-bureau records or other apps' financial data.

5. Backup, device transfer and recovery

ZeroDebt disables Android automatic cloud backup and excludes its app data from Android device-to-device transfer. The free app does not provide cloud backup, file export or a restore service. Your records will not automatically appear on a new phone.

Clearing app storage, uninstalling ZeroDebt, resetting or losing your phone can remove your records. An ordinary app update is intended to retain existing local records.

These settings do not erase copies that an earlier build or a device provider may already have created. If such a copy exists, use that provider's backup controls to manage or delete it.

6. How long information is kept

Local records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app's stored data. Archiving a debt or marking it paid off retains its history; those actions do not delete it. AACHAARYAA does not hold a server copy of your app records and has no separate server-retention period for them.

If you email us, we keep the correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, resolve the enquiry, maintain relevant business records or meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete that correspondence using the contact details below, subject to any required legal retention.

7. How to delete your information

Delete an individual debt where the management controls are available: open Debts, select the debt, open Manage debt (the three-dot menu), choose Permanently delete and confirm Delete permanently. This removes the debt and its associated payment records from the app. In Payment history, a payment record can also be opened and deleted with confirmation. Check that the app has saved your changes; retry if it reports a storage error.

Delete all local information, including paid-off or archived records and app preferences: open Android Settings > Apps > ZeroDebt > Storage (or Storage & cache), then choose Clear storage or Clear data and confirm. Labels vary by device. This resets ZeroDebt's local data. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local data too; do not select an option to keep app data if your goal is deletion.

No account-deletion request is needed because ZeroDebt has no user accounts. We cannot remotely access or delete records on your phone. To delete email correspondence held by AACHAARYAA, contact connect@aachaaryaa.in. Removing local app data does not delete any separate copies made outside the app.

8. Protecting information on your device

Android's app-private storage and device protections help restrict access to local records. You can hide balances and enable screenshot and recent-app preview protection under More > Screen & balance privacy. These visual controls do not replace your device's screen lock. Keep your device and operating system secure and up to date.

9. Email, Google Play and this website

If you contact us voluntarily, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments you send. We use them to respond to your request; please avoid sending financial records or other sensitive information unless necessary. Email providers may process those messages to deliver them.

Google Play, Android services and your device manufacturer may process installation, device, diagnostic or other service information under their own privacy policies. That processing is separate from ZeroDebt's local financial records.

When you read this policy on aachaaryaa.in, website hosting, delivery and security providers may process normal technical request information such as an IP address, browser information and request time. The website's separate Privacy Policy explains those practices. Reading the offline copy in the app does not require opening the website or uploading your records.

10. Children

ZeroDebt is intended for people managing their own financial commitments and is not directed at children under 13. We do not ask children to register or submit personal information to us. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us so we can review and address it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when ZeroDebt's functionality or data practices change. The effective date identifies the policy version. The published policy is available at https://aachaaryaa.in/products/zerodebt/privacy/. The app includes an offline copy that is updated with app releases. Any future feature that changes data handling will need an updated disclosure and any consent required for that feature.
